Ain't No Party Like A Karen Bass Party!

My band, Elson and the Soul Barkada, was hired to play at the election night party of California Assembly Speaker Emeritus and U.S. Congress Candidate Karen Bass on Tuesday night at the UTLA headquarters in Mid-Wilshire. We not only wowed the crowd of some 300 with a few classic, socially-conscious soul covers, but our original “Karen Bass Song!” We also got some local politicos, such as Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas and Congresswoman Diane Watson to give us props and dig our sound!
